*Contest fees due 7 days prior to contest date. Schools will be taken off the schedule if payment is not received! Fees will not be accepted at the door.

1. Solo and Ensemble competition will be held on Friday, February 15. Doors open at 4 p.m. for registration and floor practice. The contest will begin by 4:30 p.m. Officer and Team competition will be held on Saturday, February 16. Doors will open at 6:50 am. (not before) for registration and floor practice. The contest will begin by 8:00 am. All events will compete in the Gymnasiums. The Commons area will be available for warm-up and rehearsal and will be marked the size of a regulation basketball court. Please call Leila Mull at Klein Forest H.S. (832) 484-4711 or lmull@kleinisd.net for information regarding floor surfaces, etc. Have your soloists & ensembles prepared to perform in any location. Enclosed in the information packet is a diagram of the Klein Forest gyms/teams on deck/entrance & exit. We would prefer for you to FOLLOW OUR DIRECTIONS ON ENTRANCE & EXIT, HOWEVER, IF IT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU, PLEASE ASK FOR ASSISTANCE FROM OUR CONTEST WORKERS FLOOR LEVEL.
2. Important: The lower level bleachers will be pulled out for seating. Seating will be available in
   the lower and upper level. We ask that your routines be choreographed according to the boundary lines on a regulation size basketball court. There will not be gym overflow. Seating will be tight for spectators. Video monitors (a large screen TV) will be provided in the Commons area for team viewing. In addition, a monitor will be set up in the hospitality room for directors only. We would like for the gym seating to be for those spectators paying admission. (This is why Klein Forest boosters are setting up monitors in the Commons and hospitality room.)
3. Each team will be assigned a dressing room and hostess. Please keep the rooms neat and clean
   as these are classrooms. You are responsible for cleaning up trash, etc., in your assigned room. Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the classrooms. Do not leave valuables unsupervised as this area is unsecured. NO MEN ALLOWED IN DRESSING FACILITIES! Schools will be responsible for any damages made.
4. The Boosters have planned for incredible concessions this year. You may call Leila Mull regarding specific menu items.

*ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINKS / ICE CHEST WILL BE ALLOWED! NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Be aware that inexpensive and large chain store recordable CD’s are less reliable (ex. Office Depot, Best Buy, Memorex).
• Make sure when burning audio tracks that the entire disc is finalized and not just the individual session/track.  This ensures the track number and audio time displayed.
• If recording in mixed media mode (data & audio) it could cause the CD player to have difficulty in reading the disc and display an error message during playback.
• Be aware that the audio sessions burned/recorded on a personal computer using a program that is selected to playback only on a personal computer, could cause the CD player to have difficulty in reading the disc and will display an error message.
• Please have a copy of your music placed on tape cassette as a back-up.  Make sure the tape is with you at the sound table during the performance.
